We were unable to pay you because you indicated while taking the tax information interview that you provide your services both inside and outside the United States and have not provided additional required information to Amazon to determine the U.S. withholding tax rate applicable to your payments.

This selection means that you are physically present inside the United States for part, but not all, of the time you are doing business with the Amazon Associates program. Merely being a member of the Amazon Associates US program does not mean that you supply your services both inside and outside the United States.

If you made this selection error, retake the tax information interview by going to https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/home/account and selecting View/Provide Tax Information and then click on the Take Interview button.

Changes in tax status

  • By changing or updating your tax information, Amazon must confirm all information is correct with the IRS. This means that if there are any differences according to the IRS, Amazon cannot continue to issue your earnings, until all tax information has been successfully verified. This also can affect the appropriate tax forms to be sent to you if Amazon determines that a tax form is required.

How does changing my tax status effect my payments?

  • S. law requires Amazon.com to collect tax information from Associates who are U.S. citizens, U.S. residents, or U.S. corporations. We are not able to process your payment because we do not have valid tax information for your Associates account. Changes in the tax status can possibly delay payment.
