Holiday Countdown Calendar for Associates

While the holidays aren't quite upon us yet, it’s never too early to start planning, preparing and scheduling your content for the last few months of the year. The holidays are the biggest shopping season of the year and one of your biggest potential seasons for earnings. As you plan for the holidays, use this countdown calendar to make sure you hit each milestone and get the most out of every shopping day.

November

    4th: Follow these five quick steps that will get your content in shape for the holiday season. Promote all the services or products that readers will need to get ready, such as Amazon Services for those who are hosting and want to get their homes sparkling clean for the holidays.
    14th: Thanksgiving is two weeks away. If you haven't already, start building holiday shopping anticipation with your audience. Create blogs ahead of time that will go live for Black Friday.
    21st: One week left until Thanksgiving. Promote everything your readers need for Thanksgiving: cookware, dinnerware, gourmet foods, and decor. Don’t forget to mention Prime Pantry for holiday recipe and hosting supplies. Think of Prime Video for entertainment and classic movies that only come this time of year.
    28th: Thanksgiving. A day to relax in the company of loved ones, and the beginning of the biggest shopping season of the year! Be prepared on Thanksgiving evening to start promoting early Black Friday deals.
    29th: Black Friday is here. Keep checking in on the promotions tab and Amazon's Black Friday deals page, and share interesting finds with your readers throughout the day.
    30th: Holiday shopping continues. The weekend days after Black Friday are also big shopping days. Promote great deals and update your readers. Prepare your content for Cyber Monday.

December

    1st: The holiday home stretch begins. The days between now and the 25th are crucial for driving holiday traffic. Consider launching a holiday advent countdown today that will keep your followers returning to your social media account on a daily basis.
    2nd: Cyber Monday. Today is a good day to promote tech deals and Amazon products. Share hot deals to your followers throughout the day.
    4th: Think Entertainment. Don’t forget to recommend services that complete the seasonal sensory experience with holiday favorites through Prime Video (movies), Audible (traditional holiday reads), or Amazon Music to set the mood for festivities.
    10th: Brainstorm Gifts in Every Category. Think Toys and games, digital downloads, electronics, clothes for fashionistas, and most of all gift cards, so your audience can fulfill their own wish.
    17th: Estimated standard shipping cutoff. Remind your followers of shipping cutoffs (estimated 4-5 days for Amazon unless it’s 2 day shipping.) This is a great way to be informative and whip up some holiday shopping traffic. Shipping is on business days only, and until Amazon holiday shipping deadlines are posted, safely estimate this date as the cutoff and adjust as more information is available.
    22nd: Three days until the 25th. Remind Prime members to get their orders in for free 2-day shipping. View the video on Prime eligible items and addresses here.
    23rd: Prime same day delivery ends. This is the last day to order gifts for Prime Free same day delivery.
    24th: Promote digital gifts and gift cards. This is a great day to promote digital gifts and gift cards. Also promote waste-free gifts like memberships or downloads, such as Kindle, Audible or Prime memberships.
    31st: New Year’s Eve. Cheers! You've closed out another successful year as an Amazon Associate. Now it's time to start planning for a successful 2020!
